Warnings the author tried to get across.

After reading the book 1984 I learned a lot about a dystopian society. The author, George Orwell, puts out many warnings about how if we don’t change our ways, out society will turn into a dystopia. Some are the warnings are the Thought Police and Two Minutes Hate. The warnings the author, George Orwell, tries to tell you are if our society continues on the way it is people wont even be able to think without having people listening to it. I think that many people will get the message of the thought police because I wouldn't want people listening in on what I think. Winston Smith has to spend his time with his lover Julia sneaking around trying not to have the police catch them. Another example of a warning from 1984 is Two Minutes Hate. During Two Minutes Hate Emmanuel Goldstein shows up on a telescreen and everyone in Oceania yells and screams. Everyone hates Emmanuel Goldstein becuase he is going against the government. The government brainwashed everyone in the society to hate the people who go against the government In 1984 the portrayal of a dystopian society may be a little far fetched, but this book was a warning to our society.
